My name is Joshua Janis. I am the founder of Odisee and I am also a failure. Well to be fair, I am also very successful. Let me explain this, and how it ties in with the WHY of Odisee.
Here is a very condensed version of my life. At 22 years of age I chose to drop out of college. I did this because an opportunity arose to buy into my first business, which was a small nightclub. By 26, I had failed at my second business. At 27, I started what became a thriving restaurant group. I sold my portion of that restaurant group for a relatively large sum of money. At the age of 33, I then blew all that money I had earned in an endeavor attempting to make a passion project work. After that I failed at another bar/restaurant wasting more of my own money as well as investors’ money. That, coupled with a break-up of a long-term relationship put me into a gray cloud, the likes of which I had never experienced. That gray cloud is known to most as depression.
Why do I tell you all of this? Through all the ups and downs I forced myself to take action. I made myself see the love in the world. I forced myself to do things that were uncomfortable, difficult, and challenging in both physical and mental capacity. Through these actions, I realized where my true zone of genius resides. It is in improving the state of being of not only myself, but the people that I touch in this world.
Everything that we do in Odisee is personal and we enjoy our time together. I take pride in inspiring people to accomplish whatever it is that makes their life more meaningful and memorable. Seek your best state of being and let me use my God given talents to create or facilitate a life long memory!
Odisee is a culmination of everything that I have accomplished and learned from in my life.
